Francisco Fuentes Ayala

Hi, I’m Frank — a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Houston. I specialize in sex therapy, LGBTQ+ affirming care, substance use treatment, and trauma recovery.

My approach is trauma-informed, identity-affirming, and grounded in curiosity, empathy, and care. I support clients working through challenges related to sexuality, substance use, identity, and past trauma — always creating space for growth, reflection, and self-compassion.

Pursuing Certificate in Sexual Health

I'm currently completing a Certificate in Sexual Health and receive ongoing consultation from Certified Sex Therapist Supervisor Dr. Brito to stay informed and provide thoughtful, up-to-date care.

I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Houston (2022) and have been in clinical practice since. My approach is informed by graduate-level training, evidence-based methods, and continued professional development.

FAQs

  • I typically recommend meeting weekly when we first begin working together. This helps us build momentum and establish trust. Over time, we can reassess and decide together when it feels right to space out our sessions.

  • Yes. I reserve a portion of my caseload for clients experiencing financial hardship. If cost is a barrier, please reach out to ask about current sliding-scale availability. I’ll do my best to make therapy accessible.

  • I support clients who have experienced both “big T” and “little t” trauma, including domestic violence, sexual abuse, secondary trauma, child neglect, religious abuse, racial and minority trauma, system-induced trauma, bullying, forced displacement, generational trauma, and hate crimes.
